Apply for travel passes

Use this form to apply for, or renew,  travel passes and concessions.

To apply or renew you’ll need:

To create an account – use your email address and create a password; we’ll confirm the status of your application - if someone is helping you to complete the application, you may use their email address if they agree.

An identity (ID) photograph - for new applications take a photograph on your device (with a camera or connected webcam), or use an existing digital photograph saved on your device. If you take a photograph using your device, your web browser will prompt you to ‘allow access to your camera’ when needed. For card renewals, we’ll use your existing photograph if it is still a true likeness, or you can upload a more recent photograph.

Travel pass renewals

In most cases older and disabled person’s bus passes will be renewed automatically without any action required on your part. If we need any additional proof from you, we will contact you to request this.

If your travel pass is about to expire, you can apply up to 30 days before the expiry date. We can only process renewals if we issued your current pass. If your expiring pass was issued by another authority you should apply for a new pass

Note that we can only issue older and disabled bus passes to York residents, and YOzone cards to York residents or students.

We have a duty to protect the public funds we administer, and may use the information you've provided on this form for the prevention and detection of fraud. We may also share this information with other bodies administering public funds solely for these purposes.
